Stiff clutch lever
Now that my bike is running like a champ again, I have a new issue
The clutch lever is extremely stiff and hard to pull, although I'm assuming it's not the clutch lever itself. I have a clymber manual that talks about the process of replacing the clutch cable, but doesn't talk about adjustments to relax the cable/lever a bit. I'm not sure if I need to replace the cable, lubricate it, or somehow adjust it. If there is an obvious solution, I would certainly be glad to hear it Thanks guys! -Dallin |
lube the cable.

THANK GOD i knew what you where talking about... cause you would read that and think dirty ! MAN! It's Hilasrious! :D

Yeah; try lubing the cable. While you're at it, lube your speedo cable. I try to do mine at the same time so I know both are done. Disconnect the cable at the front wheel and slide the cable out. CLEAN it (kerosene; whatever), apply your favorite lube and re-install. May want to dab some grease on the speedo gear unit on the front axle while you're at it.

Your manual should also instruct you on how to lube the cable as well.
