Starting issues!!!HELP!!!!
Hey I just bought a 1995 ninja zx6 and I have had some problems with keeping the bike running in the past? It seems to cut out unless I am choking it. I have heard that a good carb cleaning should do the trick but what do you guys think? I also just recently had trouble starting the bike. It like starts to turn over but then it won't start up. The start keeps getting weaker and weaker until eventually it doesn't even attempt and it just clicks????? If anyone has any ideas let me know? Thanx
Soak the Carbs in Sea Foam... overnight or 2 would be best.... clean the heck out of them... pull the plugs!!!
there fouled for sure.. soak them in see foam as well.. at this point new plugs would be a waist of money..
just clean the old ones for now... fill the cylynders with see foam as well... then stuff a sock in each cyl-plug.. dont let nothing get
in there... dont worry about seepage past the rings... blah blah blah.. see foam is crank case safe.
Wait a day or 2.. (GRAB SOME TOWELS YOU CAN THROW AWAY) cover the cyl.. with a towel top and bottom.. and crank that crap out of the bike... do the carbs... just clean every thing up from there... use forced air to dry and blow anything else out of everything..
put every thing back
add some gas... and good luck..
dont be afraid to throw some lucas upper engine lub in the gas.. read instr. for mixing
it will actually lub all those sticky carb parts up..

Do not for get to remove your jets all 8 of them. 3 of 4 of my pilot jets were clogged and after cleaning them with strands of speaker wire mine started up easily.
I have heard good things about Seafoam but have not tried it though. I used carb cleaner and lots of it, 8 cans.
Good luck
