Starter Clutch HELP

Question Starter Clutch HELP

I have a 1984 KZ1100 and i need to replace the starter clutch. The problem is i cant get the old one off of the bike. Any advice?

Do you have the rotor adapter pn:57001-1151 and rotor holder pn: 57001-308? If you have a large spanner wrench to fit the rotor, that will work as well. Do not strike the tools or the rotor, you may lose the magnetism of the alternator rotor.

No i dont have either. I was hoping i could get a long 18mm bolt and thread it on and press the rotor off.

You still need to be able to hold the rotor.
