Problem removing clutch basket on 07 KX450F
 

Hey guys,

Replacing the gear selector on my 07 KX450f, and having a bit of trouble getting the clutch basket out. I know how to get the 30mm nut off to get the basket out, but not sure how to remove the lock washer that's on top of the nut. It looks like I need to use a hammer and flat blade screw driver and tap the tabs back out to remove it (and replace it with a new one when re-fitting the basket) but i'm not 100% sure and didn't want to damage anything.

At second glance it looks like the 'lock washer' is actually part of the nut.
