Default Need help with suspension settings

I lowered the bike with lowering links in the rear and it ended up lowering it about 1 3/4 in. In the front I dropped the forks about 3/4's of an in. I didnt want to go any more because it would look funny. Its still a little lower in the rear, but its close to level. I went for a ride earlier and the suspension needs some tweaking bad! I'm new to bikes and LOST about how to set up the suspension! I only ride for fun, no racing or long trips. The main reason I lowered it was ride height b/c im short. My ? is can someone help me with how to set this up? The bike is really stiff front and rear. Any help is appreciated

That is a large drop. You will still need to set up the sag fr/rear no matter what. Generally that is done first before any drop is needed since it lowers the ride and makes it more compliant. I am a short F'er at 5'8" and any 31.5" sportbike seat height is fine after setting up the sag without lowering links. So hit up your sags/preloads and if you need to drop a spring size, then spend the $'s to get that done. Being comfy with your ride is key for control, safety and enjoyment.

Setting up the suspension is an important step that should be done when you bring your ride home for the first time. there are many write ups available written by people who can tell it much better than I can, take a quick trip around google, it should help you out.

also check out the "manual" section in the General Discussion here in KF. The procedures are basically the same for all rides. good luck
