LOWERING MY 1980 KZ1000E2 VETTER

NEED SOME HELP.
I AM TRYING TO LOWER MY CLASSIC KAW TOURING BIKE. THERE ARE NO KITS FOR MY YEAR & MODEL. CAN I PURCHASE AIR SCHOCKS WITH A SHORTER EYE TO EYE DIMENSION AND LOWER MY BIKE A COUPLE OF INCHES?

Welcome to the froums Tbone, if i have not all eady.....

I don't see why you can not.... Usually a lowering link for those is a piece of billet that attaches to the lower shock mount. It relocates the lower shock mount, so it lowers the bike about an inch and a half. Any local machine shop should be able to do that for around 35 bucks a link..
