KLX300R dies then won’t start until cold

Hello everyone, I bought an 03 KLX300R that needed a little work when I got it. I replaced the cam bridge as the one that came on the bike had the valve cover bolt threads all jacked up and would leak oil very bad. Anyways, I just went to go take it out today and the bike completely shut off a mile down the road. There is definitely a technique to start the bike that I just got down this morning I think. Started first kick this morning and then after sitting for several hours went back and started right up again! (Starting seemed to be an issue before today that’s why I mention this). So I take it out and dies a mile from the house and would not start afterwards. The kick starter seemed a little softer than normal If that means anything. I was able to bump start it after pushing for almost 10 minutes. Got home and it would not start again for almost 4 hours when the engine was colder and started after 5 or so kicks. So where do I begin with this? Also there is a definite hard spot in the crank. Like so hard that I can’t do a full kick and need to tap it to get past it and then am able to crank it. I also checked the Cylinder pressure and had about 90 psi. Just throwing this information out in case it helps. One last thing, it has a bill blue carb and the PO told me how great they are. I know nothing about them and am not opposed to getting a new carb if that is the likely issue. Thank you all!

Anyone? I’m thinking it’s fuel but would like any other insight.
