Interchangeable Rims

I'm looking for a spare set of rims and am trying to find out what is a bolt in. Will any other model's rims bolt into an 09 250?

So far i've found from forum members that 07 and earlier are 16" and 08 09 are 17" for 250s. Will other models fit too?

Welcome to KF. Are we talking about an EX or a KLX? Please explain abit more.

thanks! EX. What i'm looking to do is powdercoat a spare set of rims to a different color for the wife to get the look of the ZX-6R Black Special Edition, which has the Redish rims. Although she's looking for more of a pink red mix.

So if older year rims will fit i'm game. I'm new to bikes so i have no idea what is interchangeable.

hell, all ya have to do is compare the fiche numbers normally. Most likely the EX500 wheels will fit as well. Although powdercoating is a cool option.

so far i've found out that 2007 and older are 16" and 08 09 are 17" rims.

i looked at bikebandit to compare part numbers and the 08 and 09 rears are different but the fronts the same. Anyone know the difference between the rears?

07's are different then all (prob just because its a silver rim so it got a different pn). and so on (i belive all 04-06 are the same in black, i made a spread sheet)

looking up part numbers doesn't tell me much because different colors get different part numbers (and i don't care about color) its how it mounts to the bike ect. that matters.
