Again, I'm not an expert on the newer stuff, but you might want to look at the water pump gear drive shaft seal. If the pump shaft gets cocked (slightly) you can lose oil around it where it goes into the engine. If you"re getting oil from that area, you probably want to pull the cover again anyway, just to make sure it's not contaminating the coolant. The only other areas (looking at my old bike) that could possibly leak would be the gear shift shaft or the final drive sprocket (behind the water pump cover on my bike.) My bet would be the pump drive shaft seal. If you're so inclined, post some pics of what you are looking at (before you take it apart again) and maybe we can narrow/better define the problem. This is part of bike ownership. These (there will be more) repairs will add to your understanding and (yes) appreciation of how bikes work. Corny, but true.

Without looking at a manual, most metal to metal surfaces need a seal.
