The bike is a ZRX 1200R 2001 Model. The headlight fails to light. Have checked the fuse block fuse and it is ok. Not having a owners manual or a shop manual is not helping me to track down the problem. I have checked for power to the switch and there is none. Is there a relay that would cause this problem??? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. This machine is scheduled to go on a hard 4 day run Memorial wkend.

 

the relay should be in the harness close to the bulb socket itself. or in that general cluster of wires. is the bulb burned out ?

fi you have a meter, check to see if your getting voltage to the wires going to the bulb....... then word your way back wards.....

 

check and see if the bulbs out

Thanks to all for the responses. It wasn't a fuse, the bulb, or the relay. All of our other machines the light comes on when you turn the key on. Not this one. We learned the relay causes a delay until the engine is running after turning on the ignition. Kind of embarrassing.
