Default Full exhaust vs Slip/Bolt on

I have a 01 Zx9 and i was wondering if there was any major advantage to getting a full system vs a slip on

about the only difference is $$$. A full system will net more HP but the cost isn't worth it unless you doing everything possile to get the full power out of the bike. I'd just get a slip on and spend the other money on a jet kit and sprockets

With e slip on you do not have any other necessary adjustments to make for the bike to run properly.
You only gain minimal hp about 5 maybe, you do get the sound though.

Full system will require tuning and you will gain more hp. The tuning will be rejetting if you have carbs or power commander if your FI.

Your gains will be on the top end and you will lose power on the low and mid power band. But there is a fix for that. Install new chain and sprockets, -1 +2 or just -1 is the most popular. It will add more power to the low and mid but you lose top end speed.

Losing speed may sound bad but how often do you really get up to 165-185 and ride for any period of time. But the power and quickness you gain on the low and mid range is used every day.

Slip on cost from 250-600, full system about 1000-1650 + the gearing and the jetting.

I have run both and have the full on my bike know, If I were just going to use my bike for commuting and casual riding I would get the slip on, canyon, track and hard riding get the full.

Have fun and ride safe.
