Hello everyone.. I have always owned Yamaha's and recently sold my V-Star 1100 and stepped up to a Nomad 1600 '05 model.... I am curious about the engine noise? It has an engine knock/peck that seems to quieten down after warming up..my question is ; Is this normal on Kawasaki's and will it eventually fade away? I love the power, color, looks and everything else about the bike..I just want to be sure this is not a major issue.Just purchased yesterday (04-13-07) it only has 1900 miles on it.Thank you very much for replies!! Welcome to the Forums.

I'm not sure what the sound you're talking about would be. Maybe some light piston slap while the engine is cold. You might take it to a bike mechanic in your area to get a second opinion.

Valve noise is apparent on cold start ups.
