As far as I know, there are no cold cathode flourescent headlights. They're just not bright enough. CCFLs are usually used as backlights to TV and computer lcd screens. They are also coming into use as low energy light bulbs for domestic use.

There are HIDs which are not the same.

No lights should be installed into a reflector other than the lamp or emitter it was designed for, or the beam patterm becomes distorted, leaving dark areas and causing dazzle to other traffic.

I'd be interested in knowing exactly what you think you have. If you mean cold cathode 'angel eyes', as headlight decoration, then you have to open up the headlamp assembley and seperate it from the lens by breaking or dissolving the glue. Chances are, when you glue it back together, you'll never keep it dry and condensation free again, and possibly won't get the headlamp beam properly aligned.

oh yeah, i meant the angel eyes. When yo dissolve the glue, do you need to preheat the oven? would you know? Damn, I'm gonna reconsider installing angels now...

 

any time i've ever "cooked" headlights i do it at like about 250-300*F and will thro them in cold and just babysit them.. maybe 10 minutes and the sealant should be soft enough to pull the headlight housing apart. start first with a light and careful prying with a screwdriver or similar tool.. once you get about 1/4" of gap at one end, usually it'll pull apart with little effort.

reassembly-a little RTV on the edge and a recompression and a quick cook, and another good squeeze together and it should be perfectly sealed.
