2011 kx250f stall
 

Hello everyone, first time signed up to a forum and first real issue. I have a 2011 kx250f. Just installed a new head with hot cams stage 2 cams in it. Bike fired up nicely and idled for a few minutes then stalled. Then it would just keep stalling. Will fire on first kick then as soon as the throttle is touched will stall unless the throttle is hammered, then it will run for a bit before it dies. We went back in and check the valves which are good, checked the new sparkplug gap, and clean all the connections. There can be a lot of things to cause these issues but wondering if someone might have some insight on if there is a common problem these bikes have before we get
into checking everything out.

How is the timing? Any chances of being a link off?

Have you checked out our KLX section here at KF. Some good info and top notch riders there as well as some manuals I think.

Hey, thanks guys, had another bike over and was swapping out parts, and found the issue to be the tip sensor... thanks again

Congrats on the fix. It is always nice to have another ride to use as a donor. I would still test out the tip over switch per the manual.
