2010 Voyager battery drain issue
Late last year I started to have a problem with my 2010 Voyager not starting. With a brand new battery that is fully charged if the bike sat for 3 weeks the battery would be fully drained. I would charge the battery and the bike would start, but be fully drained if it sat for 3 weeks. I did have the bike in the shop of the dealer I bought it from and they said they could not find anything wrong with the charging circuit or any excessive load when the ignition is off.
This past winter I had the bike in my garage on a battery tender. Several months ago I did verify that the bike started. The other day I went to start it and it would not start. All of the lights turn on and the computer wakes up but all I hear is a fast clicking.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Does anyone have an idea on how long the bike can sit and still be started?
Does anyone know what the typical load on the battery is when the ignition is off?
TIA
