Default 1998 zx11, possible troubleshooting

I have a 1998 ZX11 kaw. Troubleshooting Question.
When engine is cold it seems to make a tapping noise or a consistant noise, clicking...
I thought it might be the main bearing...s but the noise goes away after 15 minutes of riding. There is virtualy no vibration , and on the freeway is is smooth and flawless.
But this noise keeps coming back..........What could it be? This bike has 18 k miles. still relativly young.

It almost sounds like you oil is to thick or that it maybe cold that it's not lubercating the bike intill it warms up good. Are you sure it takes 15 minutes intill it goes away.I would get the bearings checked if the bearings are being starved for oil.
