I love riding roads that help you perfect your actual street riding skills! Sounds to me that you were riding that type of road yesterday.

They are nice for sure. Just have to watch out for the blind turns, they are a little freaky cause you just do not know what’s there. The middle of this run and the top is very twisty and it is about 45 miles long, you could actually keep on going too but I turned around at the lake. Funny how I never got into this before, such a jewel right in my own back yard.

I like the track better, it is safer and you can concentrate on the moment instead of the blind corners and other hazards, but this is free. I will get out 2 a month this season, I have made a mid year resolution [

I hear ya on the corners. Last year I had a good scare on one, started in on the corner, probably going faster than I should've - oops - and there was a real nice spread of sand and gravel across the whole road. I have no idea how I managed to not crash the bike, but that doesn't really matter, I learned my lesson. As fun as it is to tear around the corners, you have to have some self-restraint, cause you never know..............but heck its fun!!!!!!

A mid year resolution.....good one! I'm sure that's one you'll keep!

thats why if i ride a canyon, i ride it slow and enjoy the scene. had to many instances of allmost's and other people coming right at me sliding. not fun but back then it was a hell of a good time and a rush. getting old sucks.
