I bought a tour master jacket and HJC Pegasus helmet already. I have some leather gloves that I can use for now, I will upgrade later. Shoes are all I really have left to buy.

Hey KB, let us know about the break-in for the Icon boots. That's ironic. I've been going back and forth between the field armor and the Alpinestar track boots. Still undecieded.

i wore the chukkas for about 4 hours while on my feet and before taking them on a ride and they have been cush ever since. the regular field armors are little more resrtictive to be wearing all day and walking around in but seem to be allmost broke in, id say 2 hours on the feet and they should be good to go like the chukkas. the a stars are more of a race boot so i dont think those will have a nice break in and totally be comfy being they are way stiffer and made to protect at race speeds.

You have reieved some good advice from the gang. Ankles seem to be one of the first things to go in a wreck next to elbows. Don't forget to get elbow armour in your jacket!

My wife got me a pair of the Icon Field Armor boots for Valentines Day last year...She is so AWESOME!!! I would never wear sneakers...protect the whole foot and they slide better along the ground incase you go down...I also have a pair of Sidi's...I had an accident once and if it wasn't for the boots I would have broken the whole thing off instead of fracturing 3 out of 5 bones...
