Whats everyone's thoughts on the Versys? For my 2nd bike next year it is going to be one for me to consider. I mostly commute from work and back 30mile round trip, but being in the desert here I want to do a little off-road exploring, and also take some bike cruises on the freeway.

How much abuse can the Versys handle off the road? It's either this or a KLR 650, but it wouldn't be as comfortable on a longer ride....

 

I'm sure it would be a good choice, but personally, I think the new Versys is real ugly. I would go with the KLR650 for sure! A lot of people use the KLR as cross country bikes, and I hear that they are fairly comfortable too.

Versys issuppose to be an awesome bike. I would ride both and decide on what you want. You can't see it as you ride it, so unless your buying it to pick up chicks, who cares about looks for a touring/commuting bike.
