fuel bowl level, help!
hey, does anyone know how critical the fuel bowl float adjustment is? i checked mine and it was set 4 mm too high will this make a two stroke smoke like crazy? 1999 kx250 stock carb

4mm is a good amount of measure. What ride or carb are you referring to?
|
it's decently critical.. about as important as a proper sync on the carbs..
smoke on a two stroke tho.. usually oil.. fuel doesn't really smoke.. check the reeds and compression, or oil injection if equipped. |
yes my oil is in the fuel/carb 1999 kx250

Set the float strickly to what the shop manual says. 4 mm will probably adversely affect your performance.

4mm too high will make the A/F ratio noticeably too rich. That may make the bike a little sluggish, will encourage extra smoke, and hammer the fuel consumption. Setting it too low will make it too lean, possibly enough to lead to seizure or a holed piston.
