EXHAUST..NEW SYSTEM OR POWDER COAT?
Hey guys,and gals,
I was changing the oil in my 017R and looked at my head pipe.
At least I always called it one,any way its like rusted real bad.
I was wondering if there was a way to have my exhaust powder coated or if
I should just get a new full system.
The thing is wont a full system do the same over the course
of the next 5 years or so? i tend to ride regardless of the weather as I dont get much bike time.
Any how thanks for the input,
Scott.

Full system, rejet i believe you have carbs and sprocket change. Cost more than the powder coat and will be a whole new bike when your done. let us know how you do.
Thanks for the reply,
Yup carbs, they have already been done.
So your saying just to get a full system then?
Will I have to worry about it rusting again?
I'm a big dude so i was gonna chane the front sprocket this summer too.
Want some more low end grunt. I dont ever try and bring her up so thats not the
case with me. And hardly ever do I go over 145 ish.
So top end loss isnt that big a deal.
Also I would like some help on droping the seat height about an inch.
Thanks for the help,
Scott.

Titanium and SS have done wonders in the no rust area even in your neck of the woods Scott. That would be a good move in full exhaust. You of course would have to tweak your carbs again.
Once the sag is set for your ride, it lowers the ride height. There are always comprimises if you drop the bike for drags, you lose out on the cornering potential. Not sure if that was what you meant though.
