Break In

Just wondering if everyone followed the break in suggested by kawasaki or if they just got on it from the start...Ive got about 200 miles on the ZX-10 and Im getting a little impatient....what do you guys think about it? Not enough miles? Should I just open it up....or wait....

after the 1st 50 - 100 miles or so you should be ridin it like it was already broke in ...............for the most part .I wouldn't peg out the tach and keep it there but a little hard ridin ain't gonna hurt it . Every tech I have talked to has told me the same thing .I have always broke any vehicle in by runnin it as if it was broke in .

Just do not keep it at one consistant rpm. Vary the heat and pressure. ie rings My normal break in is around 4-5 laps on a rebuilt ride.

every bike mechanic ive talked to told me just ride the thing. don't race it right away, don't go cross country right away with it. just ride the thing. if you notice all the bike mags that test bikes test them brand new with 0 miles when they get them. the tolerances today are so tight long break ins are not needed.

You can make it smaller by uploading it to this site and changing the size.
