Default Book Recommendation - Dakar Rally

To Dakar and Back: 21 Days Across North Africa by Motorcycle

Great book on a privateer's experience in the brutal 21 day Dakar Rally starting in Paris and ending in Dakar, Africa. Very good story and very well written. Much respect to anyone who can finish this race. The author did it the hard way, with no support. He was on his own and made due with limited resources.

Lawrence Hacking wrote it, and is the first Canadian to finish the Dakar.

It does have a few pictures in the center of the book, but there may not be enough for your standards, Hoe, you will have to read some words.

Soft Science of RoadRacing and Sport Riding Techniques were pretty good as well. They are all available in pdf as well.
