Bee aware!
Out riding this weekend with a few folks I met on the road.
One of the guys ended up with a bee in his helmet, which stung him on his chin. Normally, I wouldn't think much of it, but he previously had a severe allergic reaction to a bee sting, and now carries an adrenalin shot with him. Wisely he pulled off the road right away, to make sure he didn't go into shock - Nor was he in a hurry to give himself the shot, as he wouldn't be able to safely ride his bike after that.
Luckily there was a ranger station right there, and he got checked out by the medical folks. he ended up fine, but it was something I'd never really thought of before.
Ahhhhh, the look of defeat:

it must of been hovering with its stinger facing back because i poped up from behind the screen and got wacked. how it made it inbetween my helmet and my sun glasses is beyond me. i could see the stinger in me in my rear view mirror. found a cop that had a serrated blade on him and got it out. finished our trip through angles crest and stopped at a store for some ibuprofin so it wouldnt swell up, went home. it sucked but it wasnt bad.
