Aftermarket carburators

I have recently aquired a 1980 Kawasaki KZ 750 H1 model, and got it for fairly cheap, needless to say it needs some work. I've managed to source all other parts I need but I've been having a problem finding compatible aftermarket carburators, there inst much info on most manufacturer's products on fitment for my motorcycle, and being new to carburated engines I was wondering if anyone has any expirience using aftermarket carbs for this bike, what should I look for ? Is anything with the correct engine to carb diameter a go or is it more complicated than that, give me some pointers please, thanks

You're going to be paying high dollars for a set of Mikuni or Keihin flat slide carburetors, which were used for racing. They are still costly because they are still in demand for vintage road racing bikes. You can probably fit any stock KZ/GPz 750 carb sets from any of the 70s-80s models if you are just looking to replace them for reasonable money.

Really if it is a carb problem, get them cleaned using a carb washer or ultrasonic cleaner at some car shop to get them totally cleaned out. Then check floats for leaks and replace any bits that need replaced. Lowest cost option.
