Default 1988 KZ1000P problem

I have a 1988 Kawasaki kz1000p. The main fuse blew and I replaced it with the required fuse. later the bike died while running, complete loss of power to engine and all lights in instrument cluster. Pulled the battery and had it checked, battery is in good condition. After reinstalling the battery it had power again and started. It died about the entry point of the driveway, again no power to Cluster or engine. When trying to turn it over I could hear it click coming from the right side cover, I pulled it off and every time I went to start it the relay underneath there was clicking. Also there is a white wire with either a orange or red stripe on it under the seat
that was heating up. I do not know if the wire is what's making the relay fail or or if the relays making the wire heater. We did find that if we tapped the relay the power would come back on. Does anyone have any insight into this issue thank you
