My quad won't go into gear
 

I recently bought a 1993 Kawasaki bayou 300 4x4, model KLF 300C. It doesn't want to shift into 1st or reverse. If I hit shifter hard it will but I shouldn't have to. Bent shifting fork possibly? Or something easier? Any help is appreciated. I changed the oil because it was low and who knows when it was done last.

My quad has the same kind of issue.
 

My shifter is all messed up. Usually when you press on the shifter it will clutch in and you can rev until you let of the shifter. Mine clunks into gear to and won’t shift into first without a lot of force.
