Lets talk offroad gear
 

I am in need of some new riding pants. I had Thor ride pants and this weekend on my ride the zipper let on them so they need replaced. I was happy with the Thor Ride pants but it appears they are no longer made. What do you guys currently recommend? I don't need pants that have armor as I wear bohn under armor under my riding pants so I am protected. They have to be available in big guy size (40-44 waist depending on the maker). How are the Thor Range pants? They appear to be a replacement for the Thor Ride pants.

I've always had thor stuff. I have some old thor ride pants that are old but still use them. I usually just wear some good camo pants. I like pockets so I can put stuff in them. Cant go wrong with them and they are tough. I've also ran Answer stuff too. MSR makes great gear too. Cant beat the major brands.

I ended up ordering a pair of Klim Dakar pants yesterday.

Never heard of them. If they say dakar on them then they must be bad ass!

Here's a real noob question. Am I right to asume pants like these are worn over regular pants?

Also I've been looking for a chest protection thingy that motocross guys wear. I want to participate in some of the dual-sport rides in my area and I think I would have to have one. I have'nt had any luck searching the internet. I'm 6'4" 215lbs and afraid I won't be able to find anything that fits too.
