RE: gear
No price tag on the skin, trust me, I've got some nice "decorations" there to protect as well . The thing that bugs the crap out of me is, for example, the Icon jacket is $500 Can, I have seen other leathers for $250 to $300 Can. They seem to be of the same quality, armour etc. So I guess, I see it as paying a few hundred dollars more for the name. I know a lot of people up here have the textile jackets and they don't seem to have any horror stories (from crashing etc.) Oh, I don't know......

RE: gear
I just ordered my matching Joe Rocket speed master leather pants with Knee sliders, they zip in to my matching jacket. Coast 344 after tax. I got a 15 % discount from Honda of Houston. I dread the heat in the leather but the way I ride it is a must. Save a little extra get the leather in another name brand Icon is marketed to the young sport rider crowed. They pay for the styling. Look at last years close outs, or in the magazines. They usualy have some good mail order prices. Leather is leather the only thing to cheak is how thick it is, and cheak for quilty stiching. Of course body armor is a must but almost all have it.

RE: gear
Right now it is pretty hard to look for gear here - most places still have their snowmobiling stuff out. The place that I was at on the weekend just got in their first shipment of stuff, so selection will get better as spring gets closer. I don't mind the heat in leather (I used to wear a leather year round, back in high school) so that is not a problem for me. I am waiting for my catalogue to come from Royal Distributing to see what they have.

PA made it legal within the last 2 or so years to ride without a helmet, and i know quite a few people that dont ever use them. i know one guy that doesnt own one. most of the helmetless friends dont use them around town, but have them with them, and do wear them on the highway.

I ride with a ICON daytona jaket most of the time. When it get's too hot I ride with a long sleave shirt. I always wear a helmet, jeans, Timberlan boots and ICON gloves. I just turn in my jaket to ICON for warrenty. So I am looking to get a new one with in the next few days. I really like the way ICON fites my little bod. I saw this all white ICON that I was thinking of getting.
