I have been searching and searching on the forums to research jackets! I havent found any I really Like!

Just wanted to know what you guys think about a few I found!

What im looking for in a jacket.....
Good looking clean jacket.. That has safty!
Something thats under 350 bux

I have found a lot with Sholder/ elbow Protection along with Spine Protection.
Let me know what you think would be best for my application
Im going to be riding from next month untill end of summer untill it snows again! Rain or shine :)
I want something that safe for a "new rider" So if something were to happen and I Bail/ fall off the bike I will be safe from getting skinned.... Im looking into getting a good Jacket for summer! And a Safe Hemlet with good rating/safty. Pants will also be in the works along the line.

Whats best bang for buck?

i just bought one of the superduty textile jackets.

if you want something you can go down in and have it not get torn up and still be usuable time and time again you need leather.

for helmets i highly recommend you look at the sparx brand. they are a low cost but high quality off shoot of KBC.

they confort to the ECE safety standards that everyone but the US seems to use including all the motogp racers.

spend the rest of your money on some good gloves and riding boots, maybe a couple pairs of draggin jeens.

I think im going to go with the black Joe Rocket Helmet and the IconTimax 2 Nylon Jacket IN black Also. What is better a Nylon or Mesh Jacket?

Obviously leather is the best but that alot ofcash to spend atonce including the lid. Ever think about the Icon Merc for now and save the extra for leather? All of the lighter jackets have the shoulder and elbow to forearm protection. Let us know what you get and welcome to KF.

Yea But Im not trying to cook my self in full leather when its 90 out. I have read a lot of reviews on Mesh and Nylon jackets and found they have a lot of protection but if you fall you need all new gear... I might spend the extra bux to get the the leather ifI can find a nice Jacket thats still got all the protection im looking for for a ok price trying to stay in the range of 350 and under. I have about $1000 to spend on all the gear I need Helmet, jacket, Pants, Gloves... I got boots :) I went onto a website and added all the stuff I picked out With the helmet I want The Timax 2 Nylon jacketmesh padded pants and Icon gloves came out to 715 More I can save the better.

Whats better Mesh or Nylon? And Links to any nice Leather jackets for a ok price?

you could also cheap out and get a summer jacket like i did. its leather all around except the under arm from armpit to wrist is all mesh. cost 100$ it doesn't have a lot of padding, but its comfortable in 100* heat, and you can always get back protectors and stuff seperate. http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Moto...esh/42502.html

maybe i'm just cheap but i believe its a good idea not to go out and spend a ton of money right away. get the cheaper stuff initialy till you get a feel for what you really want.

that icon jacket you posted is a nice jacket - the perferated leather and vents will keep it from being too hot as long as you are moving. if you get stuck in stop and go traffic then just unzip the jacket some to air out.

Don't know if your still looking but i got this helmet about a month ago and love it. Scorpian makes really good helmets!!! They have other skins if you don't like this much green.

As far as jackets go i use a preforated leather right now. Its not too hot either and its been up to 80 here so far. I got it from Kawasaki as a discontinued item.
