Default BN125 Clutch replacement

I replaced the clutch on my 2009 Eliminator 125 and can't seem to get the clutch working again. I replaced the clutch plates, clutch cover, and a broken center pull-out bearing (that physically pulls the clutch plates out when changing gears). I can't seem to get it working. I've read the service manual and it really doesn't say much about tricks to put it all back together other than to put the clutch release lever towards the rear. What its doing is just not engaging. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what was done to fix it?
