I guess my question here is if it can be done, as far as i know the engines and frames haven't changed much, all be it fuel injection and electric start, but would the dimensions be compatible and i assume maybe some newer motor mounts. Any help would be appreciated

 

Engine should pretty close to bolt in, the main frame and engine haven't changed much since 1994. If you had the wiring harness and all to fit the EFI it would work, after all, anything is possible. I would think the engine would bolt in the frame, probably the least of the problems. The air box and EFI tuning will likely be the worst.
