New Grip Install.....

Here is a quick tutorial on installing new Grips.

For this I am using Renthal soft compound racing grips and they recommend the use of there grip glue, normally I would just use hair spray.

So here we go;

First is a picture of needed items. The Corona can be substituted for beverage of choice and should not affect the finale out come of your project.

Note notstock supports responsible drinking and never drinks and rides.

RE: New Grip Install.....

Cut off your old grips. This can be done by just scoring the grip not cutting all the way through. This prevents scratching your clipons or the throttle.

For those of you that want to save your old you can spray some WD under it and keep working it under the grip until it slides off. You can also shot compressed air under it and it will break the seal.

Clean the clipon with rubbing alcohol and be sure to remove all old adhesive and any WD that you may have sprayed on them. Let alcohol dry for a few minutes and wipe clean with dry cloth.

I do one grip at a time so your not rushed to get to the other side.
Apply glue generously and spread with your finger to cover the Entire clipon.
Put a generous amount of glue inside of the new grip, this will help it slid up the clipon. Apply some glue inside of the new grip to help it slip on to the sticky clipon.

Install grip IMMEDIATELY, rotating it approximately ½ turn to ensure that the glue is evenly spread.

Once you have them in position do not move them again and allow the grips to dry for over night.

Well that’s it with clean up and finishing the Corona it took about 10 minutes.
Take care and ride safe.

Just in case you don't have any grip glue or forgot to get some, aerosol hairspray makes great glue. Also help with the installation of the grips.

Good tutorial.
