Hi I have a KLX 250 66 plate. Im not sure if this is correct but I think this must have a power restriction on it as in all gears excpet 1 and 2 it will not rev up above 7k revs in any of the gears ! There seems to be a loss of power and if this wasnt the case im sure the bike would be alot quicker ?

i did read a thread about something to do with the swithch to the clutch needs bridging to resolve this issue.

Can any one help?

Some dtracker/klx250 have ignition restrictor where on some gears it will not rev past 8k unless the clutch is pressed in. the "derestricting" seen on some places is simply connecting the clutch switch permanently(you can do a jumper cable there at the connector, right at the clutch lever to test temporarely).
