Home Made Paint Booth!

Start with some simple 2x4's. We had some laying around, and frame out a basic room, big enough for you to get to all sides of what youu are painting, don't cramp yourself. Also notice the window and filters, important for fresh air coming in while keeping the dust out

Get some thicker plastic from your local hardware store (lowes, home depot), usually sold in rolls, and begin to staple it up to your framing. We put down some gorilla tape before every staple for added rigidity. Make sure the booth is sealed up to the open and filtered window, and that you cover everything that you don't want painted(ceiling, floor). Also, leave yourself a door!

Also, seal up the end opposite the window to a fan pointing outwards, so that it vents the air out

And regardless of the "cheap" factor involved here, the pops and I didn't have a single dust issue, and the garage was immediately vented of any painting smells. The plastic held up great without quarrel and tearing everything down was even easier then setting it up. Below is a picture of the painted parts, the booth was set up right here around these parts, and you can't even tell

Hey, that looks sweet! I bet it was cheaper to throw that up than renting a booth for a day.

I spent a whopping total of 20 bucks on some plastic, the 2x4's we already had layin around, and the paint cost me 130, with the primer and all of that. We did have a compressor and paint gun already though
