Helmet Speaker Connection on 2011 Vulcan 1700 Vaquero
Does anyone know if there is a helmet speaker connection on
The Vaquero? I checked owners manual and found rear speaker Connection; however, the connection does not match a helmet Speaker connection that I have ever seen. Seems as though there Should be one so a rider can listen to the radio provided. If you Know if there is a helmet speaker connection please advise me Of its location. Thanks. |
hey dude,
so i was thinking about this and i am not sure, but since you said that the rear speaker connection is not what you would expect, is it maybe this: Kawasaki Fire and Steel DC Power Outlet - Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero if is that then you would also need this: Kawasaki Fire and Steel Helmet Speaker Kit - Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Vaquero Not really sure if it is the right cable since I have not seen a vaquero in person, but i am pretty sure the goldwings have a special connection as well |
Thanks Talca. That is a pretty expensive way to go, and since some states outlaw headsets in the helmet, guess I will forgo this desire to be able to listen to radio while riding. That is much cheaper then at the Kawasaki dealership....they wanted almost $300.00 for the same set up.

rane, I can't help you with your problem, but am just tossing this out, and it's OK if you disagree. I've learned that music can be a distraction. Maybe cool if you're in a car because there's a bit greater margin for error...but not so on a bike. I'm really not trying to be "Mr. OSHA"...I just want everyone to be safe. Be careful; we want you with us for a long time....
Welcome to the forums. |
Thanks for your input Jeff. As I stated in reply to Talco, there are states that ban the use of headsets on motorcycles so I have decided to forgo this desire to use a headset while riding for safety issues. Appreciate your concern and thanks again.

I have mixed feelings regarding music while riding... I have done it, but it makes me super paranoid... I have a Scala q2 mostly for the phone on long rides, and it can play music too, it is not terrible and since the headphones are not in your ears, I can still hear noise around me, but it does make me super paranoid if i am listening to music.

Should I have one for myself??? :)
