2012 klx250s kick start add
 

I bought a 2012 klx250s a few years back and have trying to figure out if anyone makes a kick start for that year and model of bike and have not found anything on it. I take a lot of rides way back in the woods of montana and would really like to have a kick start if anything goes wrong with my bike when I'm in the woods. The parts guy at the bike shop I go to says you can get one for the klx250s but I think the last year they made them for is 2008 or 2010 or so and I can't afford to drop $300 on a kick start tgat won't work for my bike. Anybody know a yes or no answer to if they make a kick start for the 2012 klx250s?

It's a lot of money. My solution is to both make sure the battery is good and the other - and most important - I don't ride alone. I broke my neck and could not get up, a bone chip had me paralyzed from the waist down when I crashed years back. Fortunately I was on a track with others around. There is just too much to risk to go out alone where it is possible to be hurt or have to walk a long way out.

Even with a kick starter I would still not ride any rough back road or off road alone.
