hahaha, back on topic, depending on the pitting damage and what the pipe material is. If the pipes are chrome, better get some replacements.

you should use a product that you can find any where lkike at walmart. i use it it is called never dulll. it comes in a small round can costs 10.00 and is a wadding with a polish on it. if you use it with your finger nail on the rust spots it will be gone and it has a surface protectant

 

This works pretty well also.

 

never dull, works amazing. also you can just use some glass cleaner and steal wool and that will clean the rust off. but only short term
