Cleaning tips or suggestions?
I was just wondering, what would be the best option to clean titanium. I've heard that it's quite a PITA but would just like to know what your suggestions are. Thanks for your time.

What are you trying to clean? Fasteners, exhaust, ext.. Titanium is a usually not polished, so you should clean it use soap, do not wax it as the wax will just build-up making it dull, and funky looking. Hope this helps. I'll ask around for you.
I just got a overly complicated suggestion from a friend of mine. she believes titanium is ferrous (non magnetic), and says you should treat it the same as you would treat aluminum, or stainless steel. She went on to say that there are different grades of titanium soft, and hard. Soft you could use aluminum products, hard you could use s/s products. She doesn't have any, so she didn't want to say for sure, because she hasn't had to clean it. Then again this is the same person who uses polishing rouge to clean her show car's engine.
Yeah this is basically for the titanium exhaust. Whether it be from dust, particles, or just getting dirtying from running rich, I was basically trying to find out which would be the best option to clean Titanium. I've been hearing that it's quite a pain. But it gots to be done, since it's just been irratating me. Thanks for all the input. Keep 'em coming!

Ok this is a actualy a good post!
I am such a ***** for a clean bike; I always keep my machine to a showroom and I enjoy the feeling of always riding a brand new looking bike.
I hate windy dusty places, its the worst when it comes to caking dirt on our pride and joys. A few weeks ago I went to a local breakfast hot spot and the parking is only a dirt lot. I was on a ride with quite a few other riders and the wind was really blowing that day and as soon as we all finished ( about 40 minutes) I came outside to dust, caked all over parts of the engine and in hard to clean places.
I thought to myself " F*%k this is going to take a while to clean"!
I keep a very clean home, dust free and what not! And I love those swiffer dusters!!! WOOT!
I had the genius idea of using one of those swiffers in the hard to clean places on the bike like around the engine and tripple tree etc. Well it worked brilliantly and I have now made it a routine when give the machine a good cleaning. I emplore all of you to try it!
It really makes cleaning in those hard to reach places easy!
I know this doesnt really apply to the topic introduction but the topic title says "tips for cleaning" so I thought I would add to it on an extended level.
