Hello everyone,,,, I am in south east Iowa and need to know where there is a Kawi dealer with a good service dept,, I have checked Keokuk, Burlington, Fairfield, even DesMoines with no luck,,, I am wanting to get this fixed under warranty and they are all telling me things like, they don't have the tools to do the job, I will have to take it to the dealer that I purchased it from, or they will have to open it up before they can tell me if it will be covered under warrany??? why don't I just write them a blank check!!,,, I am about to just open it up and fix it myself!! what is the warranty for??

What yr jdanruby? A 20,000 mile ride? or less? If you trust your local person, stick with them.

edit: no tools = no service for your other local shops.

 

My bike is a 09' model,, and I have just above 12K miles on it,,, I first noticed the leak at approx 7K but I thought it was just spline grease until it started to really leak.. I have Kawasaki recommended oil in it and when I change it I drain it overnight and fill it to just below the fill hole without rotating the rear wheel. Unfortunately the dealer I purchased it from is 3 hours away and they are the ones telling me they won't know if it is covered until they tear in to it..... Its a great bike but I am very disappointed in the lack of support I am getting from the local dealers...

I hear ya on this. I have zero manuals on the concours and I have not played with anything mechanical on them as well. Are there any recall notices on this concours online?
