Default Good, bad and ugly of the '07 Nomad???

Hello! I am brand new to this forum and have been looking at a brand new 2007 Nomad 1600 (black) at a local stealership. Can folks here tell me the good, bad and ugly about this bike? what is a good price for a new one, OTD, with a lightbar added?

Thanks very much,
Newbie Daryl

I have a 2001 1500 fi and I really have the wants for the 07 Nomad. I haven't heard any talk about them either. I'm worried about the gas milage. I get about 45 with mine now. Good luck.
About 11,500 plus tax, etc.

I own an M50 Suzuki 805 cc, a just sold a Yamaha Star Roadliner S 1900cc and just bought the Vulcan Nomad 2007.

I can compare three bikes. The Suzuki shifts great but is Kmart in many ways to the Roadliner and Vulcan.

The Roadliner is nothing but speed and torque and ripped my left elbow up with the clutch. That's why I sold it. Plus
it was like handling a school bus. I told folks, it rode me, I didn't ride it.

NOW, the Vulcan, for a heavy bike, it's one sweet ride. No racing, not meant for it. It's smoooooth, quiet (wow) and boy
is it a dream to ride. I really like this bike. Plus it's wonderful to stare at. Mine is two tone (why buy anything but?) in that cherry red and silver gold.

I can recommend this bike to anyone.

Enjoy!

Got my brand new 2007 nomad. Great bike with vance and hines on it. It's a California bike and those thinking of buyin a Cal nomad, be aware, the acataletic (sic) heats up like a stove. When you stop at a red light you'd think you were on a Harley. Got Mom's right foot hot, too. Wind knocks the milage down, otherwise 42 to 44 mpg. SMOOTH ride.

First of all, there is nothing ugly about the 07 Nomad. Second, get ready for the bad!! When ever you stop, people will stare or come over and compliment you on your nice ride. The good!, best deal out there for dressed up stock bike, high cc's, and one of the smoothest, strongest ride I've been on in years. Just enjoy it and ride it for the first two years while its under warranty like you stole it.............. KC

Thanks for the replies, everyone! "Real life" feedback means a lot more to me than manufacturer spec's.

I have a 2007 black Nomad andI love it.
I got it for around 12K OTD.
Depending on where you are, you should be able to get a bike OTD for MSRP or less.
