Vulcan 1500 fi throttle position sensor (tps)

We have a 2002 Vulcan 1500 Classic FI in our shop that needs a TPS, Kawasaki doesn't list it for this model (they want you to buy the complete throttle body for $800). Does anyone out there no what might interchange with it or where I can get a TPS?

Not sure. The manual mentions to never remove or adjust the subthrottle sensor. Sounds like you have already checked the codes to determine that the sensor is bad? The same "warning" was listed in all of the newer kawi manuals.

Hey guys,

I have replaced my TPS on a VN1500 2001 the back screw is a bit tricky but if you have the temperment it can be done.

gadget's page has the step by steps for you... to adjust it!

I picked up a used one from a bike wrecker... $100.00 beats the $800 or so for OEM eh!

Cheers J
