I have a strange noise coming from the engine on my Nomad. Almost sounds like valve train but comes more from drivetrain area. Bike still runs great but the noise is concerning. It seems to affect the transmission more when warm as shifting gets a bit noisy. There is a whine when downshifting also. I've heard all kinds of stories from cam tensioners to clutch basket to FI. This noise is fairly loud and as I mentioned very concerning however it doesn't appear to affect the performance (yet). Thought I would see if any other Vulcan 1500 owners have encountered same problem before I take it to the dealer and they tell me I need $1K worth of repairs.
Note: Bike has 24000 miles and has been meticulously maintained. In addition the noise (wherever it is coming from) can be felt in clutch lever and decreases in intensity when clutch is disengaged.
