Default Really dumb questions here....

Another new guy here(sorry).
I brought home my buddy's 97 Vulcan 1500 Classic that I'm thinking of buying.
I have NO manual or anything about this bike, and he's almost as clueless as me, since he's only had the bike about 4 months.

Question #1. Is this bike only supposed to have 1 air filter? There are 2 covers, but only the left side has a filter in it.

Question #2. Are the brake lights supposed to work with the footbrake? Right now it only works with the hand brake.

Keep in mind I know very little about V-twins or this bike at all, and am not the most mechanically gifted, so try not to beat me up too much...lol.[:@] I promise to buy a Clymer manual if I buy the bike

Thanks for any help you can offer.

I believe 2 air filters is in order but not 100% sure.

Yes the foot brake should operate the light, sounds like the brake switck on the pedel is in need of adjustment.

Welcome to the forums.

The right side chrome moon covers some electronics. One air filter. Should be taken out and blown every now and then. Good looking bike.
