bout a block from my house today at a stop light oil started pouring out of my 1998 1500 Vulcan classic. Got her back home and removed the left side engine cover. There was a cup shaped "seal" loose in the case about 2 to 2.5 inches in diameter. Looks like it goes just aft of the clutch slave cylinder. I put it back but it is a loose fit and pops off with the motor running.


What is this seal? I'm guessing it should fit tight?
