Welcome to the forum.
What do you plan on using the ride for? Your plans? |
RE: i need help!!
sorry it took so long to get back, one thing i want to do is lower the bike. it sits way too high. i did find a lowering kit at dennis kirk, it was for the front only. i need to get shocks that will lower it about 2 inches. what is the length of the stock shocks? where do i look for a good price on them? thanks for any help.

RE: i need help!!
wow, 2 inches drop in the rear is beyond me. Heck, a good sag number if achieveable is normally good to go.
|
RE: i need help!!
the website for dennis kirk said to get shorter shocks to go with the lowering fork kit.

RE: i need help!!
hmm, abit leary on that one. Shorter shocks?what is a shortened shock? Shock body? Piston? Spring?

RE: i need help!!
the stock shocks are i think about 14 inches long, they sell shocks that are about 11.5 inches long. i think they measure eye to eye. i'm still new to the bike scene, learning a little at a time. if it were a mustang i could tell you ALL about it.

RE: i need help!!
yes eye to eye. Some shocks can be adjusted to a min or max for ride height. But have to stay in that range.
hahaha, mustang. Lets keep in touch. I use mustang stuff in my ranger. |
RE: i need help!!
mustangs are my thing, i am 35 and have owned 14 of them. currently looking for another project now. owned from a 66 convert to a 99 hardtop. the bike is more sentimental than anything to me. will be fun tho.
