Can mobil 1 Racing 4T 10x40 Full Syn be used to change the Final Gear Oil? On a 1500 Drifter

Not really sure on an answer to your question. The manual states API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil, SAE90 at above 5 deg C (41 deg F)and SAE80 at below 5 deg C. For the 94-97 models


A GL-6 rated hypoid gear oil can also be used.

Simple answer is no. That is an engine oil. Get some 75/90 GL-5 rear gear oil and be done. I like the Valvoline Full Synthetic
