Good day group. I recently purchased a friend's '89 VN1500-A3 and absolutely love the bike. It has been well taken care of and shes a joy to ride.

The one issue I have with it is that at some point, the original controls were replaced with a set of Jardine forward controls and boards. The originals are long gone, and I am not a big fan of the Jardine setup. It just feels awkward to me.

Does anyone have any advice on the best way to go back to a stock or near-stock setup? I would like to go back to stock controls and maybe later just add some highway pegs. I have poked around online, and I don't see anyone who has a set of original levers and pegs.

On the other hand, if anyone has a stock VN1500 that takes the same parts and is interested in swapping for a complete setup of Jardine, please let me know and we can talk (I can send pics if you'd like).

If you can give me about a week, I may be scrapping my '88 1500 A2. There are a lot of good used parts on it... but the cam chain tensioner went in it...
