Hold on let me look at the original....edit coming up.

Edit: given the proportions of that salmon ... it's tough to compare to a tuna, but a tuna that LOOKED about the same size, even though it was shorter and fatter could easily weigh 250 to 300 lbs.

Phish are tough to guess weights on ...this customer's sailfish only weighed 46 lbs.

alright wtf...klxforum is changing my link....Ok the forum mod software is REALLY stupid...the pic is called Bobs pic with no space....but it thinks it is profanity lol.

Ok ....renamed pic to Bobs Sail...what a pia

Ha ha, here it is. The filter does not like the Bobs P i c portion, thinks its a racial slur. Replaced the "P" with good 'ole '%50' and the filter is none the wiser

Wow, that's more than I thought. But I knew they were heavy *****, my brother caught a tuna when we went deep sea fishing near Myrtle Beach many years ago and I remember it not being that large but it sure was a heavy sob.

So that's what was in my mind when I was thinking that guy could never lift a fish that big, or at least not hold it out in front of him arms away from his body like he is.

But as you said, fish are different, not all made up the same.

As for eatin', I'll take a good very rare tuna off the grill any day over a salmon, though salmon sushi is ok, but still prefer tuna for sushi as well.

A tuna...not a chance. That Salmon you betcha, he's doing the old phisherman trick......lift up the fish quick with arms extended straight out and snap a pic REAL quick before you let the fish fall back down.....The perspective of holding the fish out with straight arms makes the fish look bigger to the camera.

We actually make fun of the technique on the phishing forums.

Nah, average....he was not supposed to bring the phish in the bote....sails are catch and release. But ya get northerners on your bote and they get all excited and grab the sucker by the snout and yank it in..lol

Pic of Bob right after he yanked the sail in the bote and fell on his back amid my protests....oh well that sail made some damn good sailfish dip.
