update.. upon removing th case cover to inspect the kickstart clutch, which is worn, i found a locked-up water pump bearing, the impeller was a complete ball of rust as well, the sealwas leaking waterinto the case, and the clutch..ahh... yes..the clutch,which was CAKED with rust and crust, and bonded together by chit, absolutely blew my mind. rusted steels, and corroded aluminum and basket.. had to resurface the basket faces!
waiting on a bearing, waterpump driveshaft, kickstart clutch/shaft/gear now..
this thing is WELL past lost cause, but my customer says "hell, we've made it this far... why stop now.."
lol.. he keeps lining my pockets.. i know that.. i'll keep goin like the energizer bunny.
